To qualify for Group insurance plans in Oregon you need an established business with two or more employees, working at least 17.5 hours a week. There are no medical underwriting questions for small group policies.
What we need is the zip code of the business. The ages of the employees, if there is a spouse and if there are any children. We send the group census to the insurance companies and they send us prices and the availability of the different plans.
We will then determine with you what plan will work best for your business.In assessing this need we will look at what deductible your company wants, how much the co pay to see the physician should be, what your out of pocket limit will be, and a variety of other benefits (i.e. dental, vision, alternative care, HSA, and etc).
